The Agronomist Party (Agricultural Workers' Party) and its Presidential Council have called on the Cypriot government to immediately and officially inform the public whether military aircraft armed with missiles are taking off from the Andreas Papandreou Air Base in Paphos.
In a statement, the party said that, according to reports from citizens, military aircraft believed to be carrying missiles have been observed taking off from the base.
The party said the reports are causing understandable public concern and called on the government to issue an official response.
It also asked the government to clarify whether the Republic of Cyprus is involved in any way in the armed conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States, or whether it has no involvement.
