Hyundai’s compact electric model, the Inster, has earned three significant distinctions on the global stage. It was first named Best World Electric Car 2025, marking a strong debut in the competitive EV market.

The accolades continued with the Golden Steering Wheel award from Germany’s Auto Bild and Bild am Sonntag in the category “Best Small Electric Car Under 25,000 Euro”. Most recently, the BBC’s popular motoring programme Top Gear honoured the Inster as Supermini of the Year 2026.

Across all three awards, judges praised its design, fast-charging technology, cabin comfort, competitive pricing, ease of use in urban environments and a driving range of 370 kilometres.

The Hyundai Inster is the top-selling small electric vehicle in Germany for 2025. Its growing list of awards further reinforces Hyundai’s commitment to delivering high-quality electric mobility across Europe.
