Police in Limassol have arrested four minors while investigating a robbery against a foreign national and a separate attack on a food delivery rider.
According to police, both incidents involved groups of around 10 young people, while officers are continuing investigations to establish the circumstances and identify any other individuals involved.
Moped, phone and cash stolen
The first incident occurred in Potamos Germasogeias, where a group of approximately 10 youths allegedly attacked a foreign national travelling on a moped.
The assailants allegedly took the man's moped, mobile phone and approximately €100 in cash.
Food delivery rider attacked
In a second incident, recorded in a village in eastern Limassol, a group of around 10 young people allegedly attacked and assaulted a food delivery rider.
Based on information available so far, nothing was stolen during the second attack.
Police chase leads to arrests
Patrols from the Crime Prevention Unit (OPE) and the Mobile Immediate Action Unit (MMAD) responded to the area and located a number of young people who, according to police, also attempted to attack other delivery riders.
A pursuit followed, during which officers intercepted four minors.
All four were arrested in connection with the first robbery in Potamos Germasogeias.
Police investigations into both incidents are continuing.
