A 45-year-old foreign national was slightly injured after being struck by lightning near the chapel of Timios Prodromos in Kato Drys on Saturday.
The incident occurred at around 12.45pm while the man was in the area with two other individuals and was accompanying an elderly person to the chapel.
The injured man was rushed to hospital, where he is undergoing medical examinations.
Authorities said his condition is not causing concern. The incident comes as severe weather, including thunderstorms, lightning, heavy rainfall and strong winds, continues to affect parts of Cyprus.
