Snowfall at High Altitudes Marks the Start of the Winter Season

Nothing like a white winter.

Snowfalls continue over the highest reaches of the mountain range, as winter activities are finally on.

The cold snap is doing a good job, happily dropping more snow on the highest reaches of Troodos, not just blanketing the area with the silent beauty of white, but more to the point, packing water for underground aquifers that will eventually flow into dams.

Most of the fresh snow fell in the historic Jubilee hotel area, while according to Kitas Weather, there were five additional centimetres at the Troodos snow centre, bringing near winter sport conditions.
