Quantities of illegal substances were found in the victim's home, including crystal meth.

Attempted murder in Larnaca, a man is in critical condition.

 

The Larnaca CID is investigating a case of attempted murder in Larnaca, after a man was stabbed in the street yesterday afternoon.

According to the latest police report, the 32 year old was attacked and injured in the abdomen with a blunt instrument, with the perpetrator fleeing the scene. 

He was initially described as being in critical condition, but following a subsequent Larnaca General Hospital update to the city's CID, it was established that after surgery, his condition had not been life threatening. 

He is being treated in the ICU.

Police found the man following a tip off at 1715. The victim was able to provide testimony, saying that he was stabbed by an unknown individual, who also grabbed his phone.

Following a search of the victim's home, small quantities of controlled substances were discovered. They included 6.5 grams of crystal meth, a bottle containing traces of crystal meth, a cannabis crusher, a plastic container with traces of white powder, two precision scales and 300 pounds in cash.
