Police are urging the public to remain cautious following new reports of fraud attempts involving callers who falsely present themselves as doctors. The warning comes after additional complaints were filed regarding efforts to steal significant amounts of money using highly deceptive tactics.

According to the police, the perpetrators phone citizens and claim that a relative has been seriously injured and requires immediate surgery or urgent medical care. They then demand large payments, supposedly to cover medical expenses.

Authorities emphasise that these calls and claims are entirely false and aim to deceive the public and steal substantial sums of money. Police advise citizens to be extremely careful and not to respond to such demands.

Anyone receiving similar calls is asked to contact the Police immediately by notifying the nearest Police Station, the local Criminal Investigation Department, or the Citizens’ Line on 1460.
