Talks between Israeli and Lebanese government delegations, particularly on the ceasefire set to expire on Sunday, were described as “positive” and will continue for a second day as planned, a US official said.
“We had a full day of productive and positive discussions, from 09:00 to 17:00 local time. We look forward to continuing tomorrow and hope to be able to share more once the second day of negotiations is completed,” the US State Department official added.
