The three-year project will be built in two phases on state land next to the Alphamega stadium, with UEFA-standard pitches and full residential facilities.

Almost eighteen months after submitting a planning application, AEL's project for a new training centre in Kolossi appears to be approaching the final stages of the licensing process. The complex is to be built on 17,262 square metres of state land in the municipal district of Kolossi within the Kourion Municipality, immediately adjacent to the motorway and south of the Alphamega stadium. Construction cannot begin until both planning and building permits are issued, and the club is also expected to seek funding from the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA).

The project is planned for completion within three years and will be carried out in two phases of 18 months each.

Phase one: the pitches

The first phase covers the construction of two natural grass training pitches measuring 105x68 metres and 86x60 metres respectively, along with stands with a combined capacity of 306 seats.

Phase two: the facilities

The second phase involves the construction of the main training centre building, along with parking areas and internal access routes. The building will cover more than 3,200 square metres and is designed to UEFA and European standards for sports facilities and lighting.

The ground floor will house a gym, changing rooms, rehabilitation rooms, massage and sauna facilities, cryotherapy, a swimming pool, training areas, a restaurant, administrative offices, tactical analysis and presentation rooms, and recreational and hospitality spaces for staff and players. The first floor will contain nine offices for football department administration, a meeting room, a podcast studio, a screening and presentations room, a lounge and additional dining and recreational areas. The second floor will provide 17 twin rooms and two four-bed rooms for players and staff, making the centre a fully self-contained preparation and accommodation base.

The development will also include 66 parking spaces, six of which are designated for people with disabilities.
