A weak low‑pressure system is affecting the region, with a change in weather conditions expected in the coming days.
Today, intervals of increased high cloud are forecast. Winds will initially be variable and weak, around 3 Beaufort, later turning south‑westerly to north‑westerly, weak to moderate at 3–4 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to a little rough.
Temperatures will reach 30°C inland, around 27°C on the south and east coasts, about 25°C on the west and north coasts, and 23°C in the higher mountains.
Cloudy tonight
Tonight, the weather will become mostly cloudy with medium and high cloud. Winds will remain south‑westerly to north‑westerly, weak and occasionally locally moderate at 3–4 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to a little rough.
Temperatures will drop to 16°C inland, around 17°C on the coasts and 10°C in the higher mountain areas.
Rain from midweek
From Wednesday through Friday, periods of increased cloud are expected, which during midday and early afternoon may bring isolated showers or thunderstorms, mainly in mountainous areas and the eastern half of the island.
Temperatures will drop noticeably on Wednesday, falling below average for the season, before rising again gradually by Friday.
