Cyprus Weather: Dust, Heat and Possible Friday Showers

Dust will remain in the atmosphere at intervals until Thursday, with temperatures expected to rise on Wednesday before gradually falling by Friday.

 

Weak low pressure is affecting the region, while dust will be observed in the atmosphere at times until Thursday, according to the latest weather forecast.

Tonight, the weather will be mainly clear, although thin fog or fog and low cloud are expected to form locally. Winds will blow mainly from the southwest to northwest, light to moderate, force 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to moderate. Temperatures will fall to around 14C inland, on the coasts and in the higher mountains.

On Wednesday, the weather will be mainly clear, although increased high cloud will be observed at intervals. Winds will blow mainly from the southwest to northwest, moderate to strong, force 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will gradually become slight to rough. Temperatures will rise to 31C inland, around 29C on the southern and eastern coasts, around 24C on the western and northern coasts, and 23C in the higher mountains.

On Wednesday night, increased medium and high cloud will be observed at intervals. Locally, mainly during the early morning hours, thin fog or fog and low cloud may form. Winds will blow mainly from the southwest to northwest, light to moderate, force 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slight and initially locally moderate.

On Thursday, the weather will be mainly clear, although increased medium and high cloud will be observed at first. On Friday, the weather will be partly cloudy, while brief isolated showers cannot be ruled out. On Saturday, the weather will be mainly clear, but increased high cloud will be observed after midday.

Temperatures are expected to gradually fall by Friday, reaching close to or slightly below the seasonal average, before a small rise on Saturday.
