Professor Savvas A. Chatzichristofis of Neapolis University Pafos has been included among the world’s leading computer science scientists for 2026, according to an announcement by the university.
Neapolis University Pafos said Professor Chatzichristofis, Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, has been listed in the Research.com Best Computer Science Scientists 2026 ranking in the field of computer science.
According to the university, Professor Chatzichristofis is among the top computer science researchers internationally and is one of ten academics from universities in the Republic of Cyprus included in this year’s ranking. The university said the distinction reflects the significant international impact of his research work.
The Research.com ranking is based on the D-index, which assesses scientific influence and the quality of research activity through publications and citations in each researcher’s field of specialisation.
Neapolis University Pafos said the recognition also reflects the systematic research activity carried out by its Department of Computer Science, with emphasis on international collaborations, participation in leading scientific conferences and journals, and strategic investment in artificial intelligence and innovation.
The university congratulated Professor Chatzichristofis on what it described as an important international recognition, saying it further strengthens the academic and research presence of Neapolis University Pafos globally.
