Road Freight Transport in Cyprus Rose by 4.8% in 2025

Road freight activity increased in the fourth quarter of 2025 and across the full year, according to new data released by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

 

Road freight transport in Cyprus recorded an increase in the fourth quarter of 2025 and for the year as a whole, according to the latest figures published by the Statistical Service of Cyprus on Friday.

Between October and December 2025, the total weight of goods transported within Cyprus rose by 19.4% compared with the corresponding period of 2024, reaching 10,920.1 thousand tonnes, up from 9,145.6 thousand tonnes.

Freight transport from and to Cyprus also increased during the same period, rising by 14.2% to 11.0 thousand tonnes.

For the full year, from January to December 2025, domestic road freight transport increased by 4.8%, while freight transport from and to Cyprus recorded a stronger rise of 10.0%.
