Voting Hours Set for Sunday Elections in Cyprus and Abroad

Polling stations for Sunday’s parliamentary elections on 24 May will operate from early morning to evening in Cyprus and abroad.

Polling stations for Sunday’s parliamentary elections on 24 May will open at 7.00am and close at 6.00pm, with a one-hour break at midday, from 12.00pm to 1.00pm.

According to the Chief Returning Officer, the same hours will apply at polling stations operating in Greece.

In the United Kingdom, polling will run from 8.00am to 4.00pm local time, with a break from 12.00pm to 12.30pm. In Belgium, polling stations will open at 8.00am and close at 5.00pm local time, with a one-hour break from 12.00pm to 1.00pm.

The Chief Returning Officer has called on voters to attend polling stations early in order to exercise their right to vote.
