Two Young Men Remanded in Nicosia Robbery Case as 32-Year-Old Linked to Second Robbery

Two suspects aged 20 and 21 were ordered held for eight days, while police say a 32-year-old already in custody is also being investigated over another robbery in Nicosia.

 

Two men aged 20 and 21 were brought before Nicosia District Court on Monday in connection with a robbery committed in the capital on May 9, 2026.

According to police, the court issued eight-day remand orders against both suspects as investigations continue. A 32-year-old man is already in custody in connection with the same case. He was arrested on May 13 and appeared before Nicosia District Court the following day, when an eight-day remand order was also issued against him.

Police said testimony has also emerged linking the 32-year-old to a separate robbery committed in Nicosia on July 25, 2025. The man was re-arrested under a court warrant and questioned in writing. Nicosia CID is continuing investigations into both cases.
