A vehicle was completely destroyed by fire in Strovolos late on Sunday night, according to police. Police said the fire broke out at around 9.20 pm in a car owned by a 30-year-old man. The vehicle was parked in a residential area of Strovolos at the time.
Police officers attended the scene to carry out initial examinations, while members of the Fire Service extinguished the blaze. The vehicle was destroyed entirely by the fire.
Authorities cordoned off the area so that police and the Fire Service could conduct further examinations on Monday morning to determine the cause of the fire.
The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department is handling the investigation.
