Authorities launch a joint investigation after a office cleaner falls from a fourth-floor balcony.

sixty-one year old woman lost her life in a fatal workplace accident in Limassol on Friday evening, police confirmed. The victim has been identified as Diana Tsilidou, a Georgian national residing in Cyprus.

The incident occurred shortly after 19:00 while Tsilidou was engaged in cleaning offices located on the fourth floor of a commercial building. Under circumstances that are currently being investigated by authorities, she lost her balance and fell from the balcony to the ground.



Emergency response and medical confirmation

An ambulance was immediately dispatched to the scene, and paramedics transferred the injured worker to the Limassol General Hospital. Upon her arrival at the accident and emergency department, the on-duty medical staff examined her and officially certified her death.

Investigation ongoing

The scene of the fatal fall was cordoned off by emergency services and remains under police guard. Forensic experts and investigators are scheduled to conduct further detailed examinations at the site over the course of the day.

The Agios Ioannis Police Station, in close cooperation with inspectors from the Department of Labour Inspection, are leading the ongoing investigation to determine the exact causes of the accident and to verify whether all necessary workplace safety regulations were met.
