French and Greek Leaders Arrive at Paphos Air Base for Trilateral Talks

The leaders of France and Greece landed at the Andreas Papandreou air base for talks focused on regional security and cooperation in the eastern Mediterranean

 

French President Emmanuel Macron and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis arrived on Monday at the Andreas Papandreou air base in Paphos, where they are set to meet with President Nikos Christodoulides.

The meeting comes amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the eastern Mediterranean and increased military activity in the region.

The arrival of the two European leaders highlights Cyprus’s strategic position in regional security discussions and reflects the close cooperation between Cyprus, France and Greece.

The talks are expected to focus on security developments in the eastern Mediterranean, defence cooperation and broader European coordination in response to the evolving regional situation.
