A new image from HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series has been released. The photo, published on the show’s official Instagram page, shows Harry Potter from behind as he walks towards the Quidditch pitch wearing a red and gold cloak representing the Gryffindor house at Hogwarts.

The cloak displays the main character’s surname and number. In front of him, a large group of students is entering the pitch, where flags of the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff houses can be seen.

Production and cast

Harry Potter is currently in production at the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the United Kingdom. Alongside Dominic McLaughlin in the role of Harry Potter, the cast includes Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid.

The series will follow the young Harry as he discovers that he is a wizard, leaves behind his Muggle family and begins his journey to Hogwarts. Along the way, he becomes friends with Ron and Hermione and is eventually drawn into the struggle against Lord Voldemort.

The HBO television adaptation is based on the well-known series of books by J. K. Rowling, which were previously adapted into a successful film franchise.
